2024 Young Musicians Concerto Competition Application Form Instructions
The Concerto Competition will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Texa Wesleyan University:
Location details will be provided to the invited participants.
It is open to residents of Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Hood, Ellis, Wise, and Denton Counties through 12th Grade on any orchestral instrument or piano. Past 1st prize winners are not eligible to enter.
Please complete this form and return it with the application fee of $30 (checks payable to the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra) and a tape/CD/ DVD/MP3 of the applicant performing 5 mins of the movement of their chosen concerto* by February 24th, 2024:
The Application, Fees, and Audio Clip can be submitted via FWCO.org (preferred) or scan the entry, attach the Dropbox audio file, and email it to danrstevens59@gmail.com. Online payments can be made via PayPal or Zelle using this email: donations@fwco.org.

Invitations to compete in the competition will be sent via email no later than February 28th, 2024 **.
1st Place prize: $500 plus an opportunity to perform the movement of the Concerto with the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra during their Spring Concert on Saturday, May 11th, 2024***
2nd Place prize (if awarded): $250
*Any work for solo instruments that has a commercially available and traditionally accepted orchestral accompaniment may be submitted.
**The judging panel reserves the right to screen all repertoire and reject any that is deemed inappropriate for the orchestra. These applications will be returned with their $30 application fee.
